A Colorful Wake-Up Call

With this magazine things really started changing in our lives. I remember how our trips to France made me come more alive somehow. I started wanting to wear more colorful clothes and reading books that gave me another perspective on life, instead of always just watching series and movies, where I’ve tended to seek hiding whenever getting stressed out.

I started enjoying the now more and considering; what actually made me feel good and how I’d like to spend my time.

If you’re following along on Instagram you might recognize some of the inspiration photos from the European Color Themes.

Here’s my translation of the introduction to the magazine and the rest of it on display as published; I hope you find some kind of inspiration whether it’s visual or reflective.

Inspiration

Things have happened since the last time.

Gitte has moved all her teaching home and now no longer has to drive to Randers.
Trine has quit her job in the nursery and decided not to study further as planned, but instead devote herself to the Creative Lifestyle project.

We have also been on our first inspiration trip to the South of France with a group of women.
Furthermore, we have got our Gelliprint Courses off to a good start and it is a great success.
You can read much more about these subjects in this magazine.

It is mainly about inspiration. How a trip like the one we had to the South of France can provide new input in creative work.
Of course, this does not mean that you need to move out of the country to gather inspiration, or in general very far from home.
There is plenty of inspiration to be found in places like Instagram, Pinterest and as you can see on the next page, a little walk can also bring new ideas.

It’s important to be inspired, because from time to time we all get a little stuck. It is also one of the reasons why we have become so fond of Gelliprint. It’s fun, non-binding and you can make all styles.
You can get a really nice original print for your home or a gift fairly quickly, and it can be a great way to progress in a large painting.

We are enjoying our new everyday life as self-employed people. It is hard work and sometimes it can be difficult to stay focused on all tasks. You have to work intensively to bring home a little salary, but fortunately the salary is not just money.

One of the things we value most is our walk with Molly, it has become a fixed ritual every morning – a wonderful way to start the day. We are not only doing something good for Molly, but also for ourselves. The body is activated, the fresh air clears the head and nature gives perspective.

We feel deeply privileged that, despite challenges, we can be allowed to make something that fills us up every day.

We want to be nourished. We want to be creative – and we want to share it with you.

Playing A Role

As you might see we had a lot of fun making a photo shoot with the ladies on the trip. We even made a little video as well you can watch if you’d like. There is something wonderful about letting loose and giving yourself permission to do something childish as a grown-up… like dress-up and even film it for the world to see.

I often find myself laughing when I’m watching a movie and suddenly realizing this is grown-ups playing a role just like a child. Of course I’m aware it’s a bit more complicated but still… It amuses me to think of.

Sometimes my mind will play me the trick when I’m watching politicians speak as well, or just people in general. How we are all playing some kind of role…

Actually when the name Act Feel Be came to me at first I was way younger and in another state of mind so I actually thought maybe the blog had to be about acting a certain way so you’d eventually feel that way which would lead to being that way. I had all kind of funny ideas; how I would dress up in certain roles, making posts like “Today I’m a popstar” and “Today I’m a Fisherman”.

The name Act Feel Be stuck with me, the ideas and meaning of it changed over time.
