A Poetry Collection For You & Those – with a broken heart who would like to mend it again

/

I’ve been writing poems for a long time but before the making of this book, I didn’t really use them or take them seriously. Not until one day where I stood in the shower and the idea of a collection with this title came to me.

Suddenly it wasn’t about how good they were or if they made sense to me. It was about sharing them, putting them out there, in case they weren’t just for me. In a hope they could reach someone, be just a seed of awakening from being trapped in the Ego. A way to another perspective on life.

And just like it is said about the flower on the hill, that it blooms though no one may ever see it, I wanted this creative idea to bloom as well, without worrying about how many (if any) would ever read it.

Self Publishing

So I looked into self publishing and found BoD (Books On Demand), I gathered some of the poems I already had and wrote some new ones along the way, I designed the cover, set the book up with In-Design and then I published it in Danish. All in about two weeks time.

Of cause, as I didn’t care much about recognition and PR, it wasn’t sold in that many copies and soon I moved on to other projects.

I don’t believe however that the poems have reached everyone they need to by only being represented in Danish and hidden away, which is why I have decided to translate and share all of the poems here on Act Feel Be over some time…

The Journey Through My Perspective

I will try to take you on the journey through my perspective. Of cause I’d be happy if you’d like to contribute with yours as well along the way.

The Title

It may seem like the title promises to mend your broken heart but that’s not the intention. Only because I believe that you yourself are the only one who truly can mend it. So the title is more a nudge to the reader like “if you really want to mend your heart, you might find some insight in this book to start the process”.

The Chapters

The book is divided in chapters, going through different states of awareness. You will most likely only be able to connect with or feel the resonance of the poems you are ready for and which are for you.

If you are fighting with your Ego and thereby emotions like fear, anger, scarcity and self doubt… you might not be ready to love unconditionally. And if you are not trying to love unconditionally, you might not be ready to see the bigger picture.

Of cause there’s also a category for those who this book just is not for, nothing wrong with that.
I don’t read that much poetry myself – I just write it because I can’t help not to.

Chapter 1 “For You, who got lost on your way, and Those, who followed other’s instead of their own”

If you fall into one of these categories, you might be unaware why you are so unhappy. You might wake up in the morning, look yourself in the mirror and wonder who the person looking back at you is. Or you might be okay but have a certain nagging feeling of some kind of emptiness inside of you.

The poems in this chapter explore the feelings you might relate to, when you’re fighting with your Ego in different matters, because the life you are living isn’t true to who you really are.

You might have forgotten the first love, the love towards yourself just for existing and being exactly who you are. The love that gives you the strength to follow your own path, and makes it possible to love others unconditionally, without wanting them to change and blaming them for being their true self or fighting with their Ego.

Chapter 2 “For You, who believe in selfless love, and Those, who agree, knowing that it isn’t utopian”

This chapter is for when you’ve started working with your shadows, lighting them up to embrace all that you are.

This is for when you’ve started loving yourself unconditionally and are ready to share that love.

To stop judging and start accepting. To acknowledge that love is more powerful than hate and that both spreads like a drop in the water.

You are that drop and you have decided that you want to radiate positivity and joy, no matter what others choose to do or think of you.

You choose to wish people well instead of wishing them harm, knowing that hate will only spread more hate and that love equals peace, peace equals happiness and happiness equals healing.

Chapter 3 “For You, who know that you contain so much more, and Those, who feels the energies”

Now you are ready to see the bigger picture.

The patterns of humanity and how it affects not just humans, but everything around us. Why it is so important to find the balance and try to live up to your highest potential. Knowingly that it all starts from within.

Chapter 4 “For You & Those – with a broken heart who would like to mend it again”

The last part is meant to be a help getting started. It states different ways to live and encourage you to rewrite your own story. It also gives some ideas on where to put your focus if you want to actually live and not just survive.

A little note

I’m not mastering all of this yet, but I’m working on it. I believe it’s a life long journey that I’ve embarked upon, and though it might not always be easy; I believe it is worth it and that it is the most important journey of my life.
