About

Act Feel Be

Act Feel Be is an online magazine focused on Slow Lifestyle & Travel in Europe… It’s just me, Trine and my dog Brownie moving slowly around in Europe to explore and gather inspiration in our own pace – and sharing it with you.

ACT stands for the masculine energy we need in order to make things happen.

Without it I wouldn’t have gotten my driver’s license or been able to run this magazine. We need this power to move and to change our circumstances.

FEEL stands for the feminine energy where we listen to our intuition and move in the right direction.

It’s not enough to be able to move and make things happen – it needs to be in coherence with our own inner core and sometimes it can be difficult to hear that inner voice when the world around us is screaming too loud. Yet noticing what it actually is we need or want is extremely important if we want to live our own dream and not just dream of somebody else’s.

BE is when we succeed in harmonizing Act & Feel and are able to be present in life.

I feel most alive when I travel. It’s like I see everything from another perspective. I notice more – I appreciate more – I live more.
That’s what I want my life to be about and Act Feel Be is my way of making it so and at the same time hopefully inspire others to live a little bit more as well…

The Woman Behind Act Feel Be

Trine, 34

Married to Halit and a dog-mom to Brownie

I’m guessing you’re not so much here for me but more so for what I have to share.
But in case you are curious – I made a quick Timeline with some highlights to give a little feel as to how I ended up where I’m at now…

And if you want to dive a bit deeper into these highlights here it goes:

2010: Going on a 3 months journey and meeting my husband

I had a job as a phone interviewer which was very difficult for me to be in. I wasn’t happy and when a loved one died at a too early age, I decided this wasn’t how I wanted to live my life.

Luckily my best friend Christina was also up for adventure so I quit my job and apartment and off we were a few months later. The first month we spent in Europe. We started in Paris, had a few more stops in France, took a night bus to Madrid followed by Valencia and Barcelona where we had a flight to Turkey – our destination for the last two months.

I met my husband the first place we stayed in Istanbul. I started on an online Bachelor in Social Education where I only had to be at the school once for a few days every month in order to be free to study wherever and explore my newfound love. I traveled back and forth between Denmark and Turkey whenever it was possible.

2011: Living in Istanbul

I took an internship in an English International Pre-school in Istanbul for 7 months where my husband and I tried living together.

2012: Getting married and moving to Berlin

As I wanted to finish my education I couldn’t stay in Istanbul and it seemed too hard going back to only seeing each other when possible so we managed to get my husband a tourist visa for 3 months and he flew back to Denmark with me.

At this point I was only 22 and a Danish rule, saying we had to be 24 in order to file for a resident permit as family, prevented us from staying in Denmark together. We got Married in Denmark though, a little ceremony and party with my closest family and friends.

Afterwards we moved to Berlin where we could get resident permit according to the EU-rules, my husband had some family there as well and it was easy and way cheaper for me to go back and forth to Denmark for my school.

2013-2014: Living in Denmark and finishing my Bachelor in Social Education

After living in Berlin it was possible to get residence permit in Denmark according to the EU rules so we moved back before I had my final internship and in 2014 I graduated with a Bachelor in Social Education.

2014-2017: Living in Aarhus, Denmark working in a nursery and going to Toronto in Canada

I liked working in the nursery and I was lucky enough to apply and get chosen to go on a study trip to Toronto, Canada with a handful others from my department to gather inspiration and knowledge. Unfortunately I am quite introvert and giving everything I had on the job didn’t leave much energy for family, friends and creativity.

2018-2022: Quitting my job, moving to the country side and creating Kreativ Livsstil with my mom

This one is a big part of my reason for starting “Act Feel Be” so I made a category called “Creative Lifestyle” where I can tell you all about it in manageable pieces.

2022: Shutting down our company Kreativ Livsstil and becoming a dog-mom

My mom retired by the end of the 2022 and I was excited to start a new journey, finding my own way. At first I thought I wanted to be a writer, though it felt like I’d only use a part of my creativity, but then I realized I had the possibility of taking an education in my new lane and I considered going to the University reading Art History but in the end it didn’t really feel right. My husband and I ended up becoming dog-parents and we didn’t wanted her to be alone and also I just wanted to spend as much time possible with her.

2023: Starting on the online education of Multimedia Designer

The summer was coming to an end and I still didn’t know what I was going to do when suddenly this new online education popped up and seemed to be the perfect match. I started at IBA Kolding late August and found the education very useful and exciting.

2024: Getting a driver’s license and starting Act Feel Be – A one woman online magazine on wheels in Europe

I’ve learned that in order to thrive I need the freedom to follow the inspiration and use my creativity in a way that makes sense to me.

So after considering designing websites and making SoMe content for others I suddenly realized: that wasn’t my dream and wouldn’t give me the same freedom of living aligned with my inner core, side by side with the inspiration as it occurs, and moving in my own pace.

Creating an online magazine based on inspiration and values I find essential would, and so “Act Feel Be” came to be.

I am currently working on slowly growing the magazine while studying and I feel so lucky having the opportunity to work on it during an entrepreneurial internship in an upcoming term, which I’ll let you know all about in a post.

I hope you feel like you know me a little bit better now… but don’t hesitate to ask, if you want to know more.
